Chinese online grocer Dingdong Maicai announced on Monday that it will suspend its delivery service in Chengdu and Chongqing, two major cities in Southwest China, starting May 29. Users can contact customer service within the app for assistance with refunds and membership cancellations, the company said. Dingdong clarified that this adjustment is part of its efforts to reduce costs and will not impact operations in other regions.
